it is a epson stylus CX5000. I have done what the paper said and still it won't print. says to check connections. but they are ok

Try to unplug everything like from the wall and the usb to the computer and reconnect everything see what happens sometimes it does the trick.

Is your OS Win XP, is so first of all switch off your PC, dis-connect the hardware(Printer) then put on the PC, go to the hardware section & remove all the drivers of that hardware, & restart the PC once. After the PC is restarted put on the Printer CD which had come with it, & then follow the instructions given in the Cd. i.e. install the drivers, then connect the printer & restart the PC again. I'm sure it should work.

install the printer through the installlation of the driver cd

then plug the printer to the cpu & power supply

u want to check that the printer cable is properly installed or not

then u want to check that the system has detect the printer s/w

did you connect your printer before installing the software? most likeley this is the issue.... the drivers might be corrupt or something, you will have to reinstall the drivers....
