I'm slowly becoming a huge NCAA basketball fan. Just men's. im not sexist - i just dont follow women's sports a lot. My favorite team is Texas. It's where I want to go eventually - and yes, I have my reasons. My question is this: Is Kevin Durant coming back next year, or has he officially come out and made himself eligable for the draft?

As you will find out, the new rule that requires high school players to go to college one year before they can go to the NBA will drastically affect the way college basketball operates. You will most likely see less parody because the big NBA players will go to big schools and make huge impacts for a year and then go to the draft. Just imagine if LeBron had to go to college one year before the NBA. It almost certainly would have won his school a tremendous chance for a national title. Sorry, but hell most likely leave, but Texas being a big school, there will be more Kevin Durants that look to go there.

He has not come out for the draft but it would surpirse me if he didn't. Durant fits a category of players who are currently hanging around college a year or two because of the NBA age rule. With the additonal fact that most scouts have him in the top three, he's certainly not going to improve his draft position haning around. Hopefully, Rick Barnes knew that when he was recruiting Durant.

He has a couple of months yet to declare himself eligible for the NBA draft. But I think he probably stay in school and put in at least one more year.

not knowing if my story is totally true i just read that d.j. augustine the point guard for texas has been told by durant that he is staying for next year and after wat he told the reporter about how he wants to know how good the team is going to be next year im pretty sure he wants to stay for another year and go all the way...and if he stays theres a pretty good chance the freshman and national player of the year will take them all the way
