I'm totally prepared and opportunist, how come I'm still not lucky!

Not necessarily. One can be prepared to get married and have the opportunity, only to marry the wrong person and end up divorced. Not lucky.

There are many examples of being prepared, the opportunity comes along, yet everything turns to shambles.

No matter how prepared one is, mistakes can be made.

Lucky seems to be the person who succeeds no matter how unprepared or unqualified they are...the opportunity just drops in their lap. Even when they don't recognize the opportunity it turns out in their favor!

Not all the time. If you're walking toward an intersection and you stop to pick up a penny, and it turns out that the time it took to do that saved you from being run over by a drunk driver, you weren't necessarily prepared for that, but you were lucky.
