i dont want to be a teacher because of the long process i would have to go into becoming one. i would need a uni degree, plus im one to have a habit of forgetting things easily, so it's not something that would suit me. however, my younger sister who's in yr 12 now, wants to become a teacher. she wants to be more of a high school teacher, but she needs to get a high UAI (we're from australia. above 90, and the highest anyone can get is 100. 100 only one person in a state, which states are quite big here with thousands of schools, can get it. it means in getting a UAI, you are up against everyone in your state.) to get into university and get a degree, which can last about 4 years before she can actually be one. it would be different in other countries, but you would probably still need a university degree to become one

Yes I am a teacher K-12 so I teach children from the ages of 5 to about 18. There are some days where you wonder why you bother, but then there are the days where you see the results when students learn and grasp new concepts. Also when a student rings you up after scoring a 90+ UAI is nice too!
I do recommend teaching - it is challenging for sure, but very rewarding in the end - and isn't that what we all want from our careers?

Yes, I am a teacher. I really do like it.
First, you will need to start spelling out your words and not using text messaging language. You will need to use words such as "want to" instead of "wonna".
Study hard and work with children. If you cannot stand being the sole adult in a room with 32 children, then teaching is not for you.

I was a teacher but now I'm a stay at home mom. Prepare to spend a lot on your education and work without a paycheck for 18 weeks while you student teach. Your salary isn't going to be great for a long time and there's a lot of government pressure to teach kids how to take tests. Sorry, it doesn't sound very positive, but that's where it's at these days.

Yes, i am a teacher. I love teaching. You have to be willing to play many different roles if you are a teacher. You are not just teaching students subjects. You are teaching the students about the world and how to act in this world. You are also at times the person they come to with problems that are happening with them.
I would never change my career. I love working with students and seeing them grow into themselves.

i love teaching. I teach at my sunday school and you feel so rewarded and so proud that you are making a difference in the world. It's not really about money. If you want to become a teacher, and you love kids, it'll be a breze, and you'll look forwad to waking up the next morning. if you aren't psyched about teaching, you might not like it as much. I tink it's very rewarding, especially when one of the students finally uderstands something. They feel so proud, and you feel so happy that you just helped this kid build a little more confidence.

I was not a teacher, but I DID run the cafeteria of an elementary school that had over 700 students.. and that was close enough for me. I wouldn't want to be a teacher, I don't think, but I have always wanted to be a librarian, and work with children... I would love to get children interested in reading!

I am not a teacher ~~~ don't you think that to be a good teacher you should respect the language you teach in ~~~ "R", "wonna","u", and "b" ~~~ are not words.
Sorry, no offense, but you asked.

Teaching's not really my dream career. I've seen what the teachers have to dealt with. The troublesome kids that just can't behave even if their lives depended on it. Seeing as I'm still a kid, I don't really know what I want to be.
GOTTA DREAM BIG!!!

I am a teacher. I like teaching very much. It is the best, most rewarding profession in the world (psychologically) and the least rewarding profession (financially).
