I cannot speak for every brother out there but I can give you one of the plausible reasons:
The standard of feminine beauty in traditional African societies is the curvy, some would say chubbish, female figure. I think that somehow this image of beauty has been carried across the world by the African Diaspora.
Í for one like a woman with an attractive, slightly oversized but firm derrieré. Pity I cannot share my girlfriends pictures with you.

Well that question in itself is a stereotype.
Some men prefer skinny women, some prefer fat women. i guess it all boils down to prefrance.
Most men (of all races) prefer a curvaceous figure, so thats is where your observation comes from.

I think it is because the appreciate a woman's curves. White men have been trained by society to a great degree to be very critical of a little womanly curve. They are influenced by magazines, TV, and movies where the women are all size 0. Your observation is the same as mine. Woo-hoo for the black men that are attracted to some curvy hips!

that is a preference. not all black men like curvaceous women, its just a stereotype.

Most men prefer women with a bit of meat on their bone`s, the skinny bit stops when they realise the bigger woman is actually more comfortable to be with. Personality seem`s to matter with some people too. .......................................Yes I am a little overweight but I am happier now 18 than I was size 8.

in most african culture big women are associated with health and fertility. most black men grow up with this in mind and find themselvesd attracted to them. thin people are thought to sick, and big women beautiful. some tribes even tries to get the brides to put on some weight before their big day

I would say that it is due to their culture, especially for people of carribean origin. Their bodies are made differently, especially the hips and bottocks and this is seen as sexy in the culture. (The pelvis is wider and much bigger) But not all black people like curves!

Do not think this is a black thing at all, curvy women appeal to all races, it depends on what floats your boat! there's fat, thin and curvy, I think curvy shows that you are fertile
