Here's the problem i recently took my computer to get viruses clean up and i bought memory(RAM) so it can work faster but not too long ago it started working really fast and heating really fast even if i have one program working how can i make it to where it works without working really fast any help would be useful

I think your fan and Power supply fan are cogged up with dust and need to be cleaned .

Install Windows 95 instead of Windows XP. That will limit your speed to 95 instead of Xtra Power. Then you probably want to lose some of that RAM. The stuff will overspeed your machine every time. If you are still having problems, try underclocking your processor. Set the jumpers on your motherboard for lower multiplier and front side bus speeds, or go into the BIOS and clock it down that way, if your system allows it. You might even consider buying a slower processor chip on eBay and having it installed by the guy who did your RAM.

is the heat sink and fan on your processor clogged with dust, not allowing air to circulate and cool the processor? also, hit ctrl+alt+del and see if there are any processes running, like virus and spyware removers. The people you took it to may have set up the virus program to run at various times in the background, to keep the computer virus free.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

Over heating get a case fan.
