I don't need it but I really want an iPod (If my parents buy it for me they will hold it against me for the rest of my life and they will freak out if a small mark is made on it or something), and I cannot babysit because...well lets just say that children are the devil. (And there was this incedent with a...never mind)

I would also need $ for concert tickets, to a lot of bands (Its really torture living in the live music capital of the world but not being able to go to any shows because your parents want you to earn it yourself.) I'm not complaining about that but I just can't think of a way to make money!

Its like you're too old to have a lemonade stand but too young for a car wash (and also...guys...yeah)

PLEASE HELP!!!

My daughter bought items in bulk that are popular from Oriental Trading Co and sold them to her friends. She made a fair profit monthly.
I also negotiated with her a dollar a day if she did a house hold chore that needed to be done, like mopping the kitchen, clean the toilet, a load of towels wash dry and put away etc. These are things she needed to learn to do anyway. Eventually she started cleaning houses for a few neighbors earning $60-$80 a shot. Her Junior year she had 7 houses a month = $500 a month.
Take a babysitters safety course through a local community or Red Cross and take babysitting jobs.
Dog walking is another!
Hope you find something that works for you!

I have suffered with this dilema my self, and here is what I did...

at school or on the bus to school sell some candy or cheap jewelry, your friends dont need either of them but will end up buying,, the first weeks i made about 25 bucks a week and soon was making about 40-65 bucks a week,,

another option is, ask your parents to set up and ebay account for you, nex step start selling all the crap no one uses around the house, but remember ebay is serious business and requires some attention/time to get used to.

if u live somewhere hot go to sams club or costco and buy a box of popsicles and sell them around the neighborhood to kids...

if you show some effort your parents might just give you the rest of the money you need,

unless you want an ipod because its popular there is a great substitute that even plays videos, its on sale at dell.com its the sandisk sansa 4gb... around $ 110 online.. check out deal2buy.com as well..

good luck!

You can make 60,480 a year 800 a week
♥1♥Buy jumbo strawberries
♥2♥Buy Shell chocolate white and dark
♥3♥Popcisle sticks
♥4♥Nuts, M&M's and other toppings
More than easy

Make jumbo chocolate covered strawberries, with nuts on a popsicle stick. At the mall they are 5$ a chocolate covered strawberry, sell 30 a day each one is 2$ and you will make 60$ a day if you sell all of them. And in a week you will make 420$.
and a month 2,520$
a year 30,240$ damn you could by a house.Sell like 60 a day and in a year you'll make, 60,480.

I know what you mean. It's pretty bad not being able to have a job.
However...
if you're parents really want you to earn your own money, you could talk to them. Parents often pay their kids an allowance for doing chores, but if you're parents aren't like that, you could always pet-sit, house-sit, help your neighbors with houshold chores such as cleaning, watering plants, raking leaves(fall), shoveling driveways(winter), or, as a last resort (for you, I actually have enjoyed this), babysitting.

I know there aren't a ton of options, but I hope you can find something you can enjoy.

well if u do chores around the house and u might want to start a leave raking thing in the fall. and a snow shoveling in the winter and a lawn trimming in the spring and summer. and go to ur neighbors or friends. and u can pick up sticks as well. or just have a yard sale. and well if u did want to babysit cuz if u really want it then u will babysit devils or not if u wanted those u would do it. and start saving spange (spare change and just ne loose dollor bills and stuff) and well gl!!

Well if you don't like to babysit, maybe some of your neighbors or friends and family would like their yards mowed, raked, or flowers planted.

You could offer to clean house for people that you know really well or offer to dog walk or dog sit.

What about asking your parents to give you a little bit of money for a good report card. That way you earn it and it keeps them happy as well.

I think that it is commendable that you want to earn your own money to do the things you enjoy, but remember you get paid to do a job and job's are not easy... it's work!

You need to learn the power of negotiation. You want something and you're parents want something too... you just have to find out what that is. Then you use what they want to get what you want. Promise them that if they buy you tickets to whatever concert then you'll do something for them like mow the lawn all summer or do the dishes all month or something like that. Pick something that you don't usually do and something that you know that they don't like doing so they'll be more inclined to give into you. Persistancy is key, if you bug the crap out of them long enough they'll eighter kill you (then you don't need an iPod), or they'll buy you one just to shut you up.

Ask your parents if there are extra jobs around the house you could help with to make money.
Now that spring is here- you could go around and offer to clean up peoples yards for spring swep up drives and walks.
In the summer you could cut lawns and pull weeds.
You can sell used stuff on ebay.
You could walk dogs.

Some ideas to get you started- good luck.

Well, doing chores around the house for you parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, whatever. Raking leaves for neighbors. How about clean out your closets and have a garage or yard sale. You can sell bottles water at the garage sale for a small profit.
