i think you can smoke in all of the main areas of the casinos unless the specific casino has a non-smoking area. Many casino's offer both non-smoking and smoking areas. The laws in vegas just changed with the last election. You can only smoke in bars if food is not sold.. and casinos are exempt from this law. There have been several problems with the enforcement of this law, but they are trying to start enforcing it. But yes, you can smoke in the casinos in most areas..

If you hate secondhand smoke, you'll loathe Vegas. People can even smoke in elevators there. The casinos are a total haze of smoke, bad cologne, and despair.
But boy is it fun...

The newer/bigger casinos have fairly decent ventilation. I hate smoke, but found that it was not all that bad.
The best thing to do if you're sensitive to smoke, is to book a hotel that has nonsmoking floors, not just n/s rooms scattered throughout the hotel. If the floors aren't nonsmoking, the halls will be smelly.

You can smoke pretty much anywhere in Las Vegas except local restaurants such as Applebees, Dennys, etc. They banned smoking a few months ago.

You can smoke in any hotel in Las Vegas but if you want a more non-smoking room, hotels do offer them.

If there is gaming involved, you can smoke there. Table games, slot areas and bars with slots and/or keno. Most lounges have keno, so you can smoke there also. No smoking in restaraunts, snack bars or restrooms.
