I read a lot...really fast. I can go through a three hundred page novel in like two hours if I don't take a break. It really bugs my fiance, because he never was interested in reading. If I can't find any books that seem interesting enough to buy, I will read books I've already read if I remember them being really good.
I am not a book worm. I still like to have fun. GO out, drink, play video games, visit the beach and all that, but, I just LOVE reading. Is this a dangerous escape from reality?

I don't think it is dangerous at all, it is actually a pretty good habit. I mean, you still have a life! and it sounds pretty eventfu, so don't sweat it. :] I read all the time too. Reading really helps when you are frustrated/sad/mad because you don't think about it, it isn't escaping reality...just postponing it. :]

I sometimes read to take a break from reality, yes. Usually I'm not escaping anything, it'll still be there when I get done reading, but sometimes that break is just what I need. There's nothing wrong with reading alot. It's actually very healthy. I don't think it's dangerous by any means, just make sure you're dealing with "life/reality," in the off times where you aren't reading.

It's not at all dangerous, or people working at doctor's offices would not bring books to read during their breaks.

I sometimes read to escape reality, but more often I watch a movie that I really enjoy--to do the same thing.

Not at all, I think hes secretly jealous that you can read so much as my guy and friends are..I have a collection of about 300 books and have read almost all, and my collection is growing, my books are my treasures and have taught me so much, I still have a active life outside of reading, I just do this to attain knowledge and escape all my daily troubles for a few hours.

No, I don't think so. As long as your not obsessed and block everything else out. I ove reading. I have a stressful life and reading so relaxing. You can anywhere and be anybody. Try getting your fiance to read a book you really like. I got my b.f. to really start reading by giving him the 1st Harry Potter book.

Reading the booklet instead of enjoying the movie is the best way to see what the author planned. Reading uses your imagination, hones your reading skills, and can increase your vocabulary
