im trying to watch a clip on you tube and its telling me i have java turned off can someone tell me how to turn it on

JavaScript, not Java. Two different things. In Internet Explorer:
Go to Tools > Internet Options
Go to the Security tab
Click the "Custom Levels..." button near the bottom
Scroll down almost to the bottom of the list, where it says "Scripting". Underneath that it says "Active Scripting" and has choices for Enable, Disable, and Prompt. Choose "Enable"
and click OK, then click OK.

it should be turned on by defauft. internet options advanced. but maybe if you refresh the page?
