I just joined track recently and now my knees are starting to hurt. I'm a sprinter so I run on my toes, and I know thats not good for you, but I don't know what happened to my knees. Everytime I bend them they crack, and it feels best if I keep them perfectly straight. Is it possible to sprain your knee? Please help.

They are probably swollen. Worst-case scenario is that you have a torn meniscus and need surgery.

Try icing them periodically and take ibuprofen. If the pain doesn't subside after a few days, you have a sprain. If it doesn't sustain after a few months, you need surgery.

Go to the physician and get an x-ray. Quit gambling football till you get this looked at. You don't wish to completely injure your knee. Don't take a hazard and in no way stroll once more. Soccer isn't valued at it.

Wrap a flat magnet (kind u put on cars or fridge) around your knee and see the pain go away shortly.
Build knee strength thru ankle weights.
