Reseat the dimms. (take 'em out and put them back in) If that doesn't work, try each individually to determine if one of the sticks is defective or if one of the slots on your motherboard is broken.

Maybe your computer does not support higher RAM yet. :P

Or maybe you need to sterilize your Memory Slot before you can make sure that it is detected.

Try this... Try removing the first RAM. If your computer works, it might be 2nd RAM not working. But if both RAM works as a single, then....

Maybe your computer does not support higher RAM yet. :P

Your computer ate the other 2GB Ram ... LOL... try to open up your computer and see if its connected properly... try to disconnect it and reconnect it.. if it still doesnt work then try to exchange the RAM chips and connect them one at a time so that you will know which one is the bugger.... and if its still under warranty... you know what to do....

All the best...

Does your motherboard actually support more than 2 gigs?
I'd be looking up the specs on my board to see if it actually can read and use more than 2 gigs.

yup, look in your motherboard menu to see if u can put more than 2 GB. If u can, so u got to open your CPU chassis to see if your memory stick are buffered.
