if i sell something on craigslist.com, how do i get the money?

i posted a ps2 slim console with other things on craigslist.com, and if someone were to buy it in California, lets say, and im in new york, how would they pay me so i wont get scammed?

Don't do it, face to face only!!!! I have brought and sold at neutral spots several times. I did have a guy pay me directly via Paypal when he came to my house.
