Have you ever stood in front of a truly great Painting. I was so taken back by The Night Watch, by Rembrandt, that I could not leave the room for almost an hour. There are many, many artist who have the ability to take your breath away with a brush, but unlike music (the radio, soundtrack, TV) you have to go out in search of the greatness.

Is music an art form?
if it is, we can discuss the following questions.
the question, "Is music an art form" have been dıscussed by Morton Feldman for many years.
maybe it is... but its existence in artform doesnt take us by surprise. maybe its existence in popular forms tries to do it, or better; dares to do it.
I believe the "artwork" collapses on us, as it collapses on its precedents.
