She should look under her health insurance plan to see who is in her directory. That way insurance will cover her to the fullest extent. If she goes outside her plan she would pay more out of pocket.
My insurance company paid 100% of it.

So is your friend shopping for major surgery or a used car?
Just asking 'how much' isn't a good way to shop for a surgeon. You get what you pay for. Do some research and learn what questions you need to ask, and what hospital and doctors have experience with this type of procedure.
