spend down on medicaid?

I did`nt meet my spend down in Indiana and now I`m getting bills from the doctor and the clinic and I live on ss and can`t pay these bills so what happens to me? Even if they take me to court I don`t have anything and I`m 70 yrs old but can they take it out of my ss?!.

They can't take it out of your SS, but they can file against your estate once you die. If that happens, before your heirs can get any inheritance, they would have to pay the creditors.
