I need the steps or stages of installing a software. I don't know what happens during intsallation. All I did was to type registration number, or agree with terms and condition. Then it copies files to your PC if the installation files are in CD. Then what happens? I only see the progress bar and then I type finished.

Hi. After the process has completed the program is on your computer and ready to run. Most programs install (put themselves) in your "All Programs" menu from which you can run them. Some items, like Windows Updates, just go where they are supposed to and you do not need to do anything. Others put a device driver in the location it needs to be in and "Bob's your uncle".
