Hi, pain during intercourse needs to be looked at by a doctor. A couple things that can cause painful intercourse include the HPV (Human Papilloma virus) and certain STD's and sometimes high risk pregnancies. Your friend may or may not be pregnant and the only way to find out is for her to take a home pregnancy test or see her PCP (primary care physician) who may refer her to an OBGYN which specializes in womans gynecological health. If your friend discovers she is pregnant concern should be raised in regards to painful intercourse. Intercourse while pregnant usually does not cause pain or discomfort.

I know i'm a dude, but my wife and I had a very active sex life during her pregnancy! Painful??? Since when is sex painful?? It was not painful dear..it was all pleasure!!!

she definitely needs to do a preg test. Sex should not hurt. get checked for STD's while your at it.
