A tea made from Osha root, Ginger, honey & lemon. The Osha will numb it somewhat and is antisceptic. Honey will coat and ginger & lemon are both excellent healers.
It will tast nasty but worth it. You should be able to find it from your local herbalist (just look in the phone book) if you cant find it, just do the ginger honey & lemon.

Cepacol, sore throat spray, is a great remedy for a sore throat. Its formulation is unique, amongst the sore throat sprays, on the market. I believe, it was formulated, by a Canadian board of physicians. Recently, I have not been able to find it in stores. I just ordered, several bottles, from an internet pharmacy. It is easy enough to find online.

Gargling with warm salt water (especially sea salt) helps me a lot when I have a sore throat. Of course I also believe that a sore throat is caused by something that you are not saying that maybe you should be. Good luck!

Brush teeth, tongue, wash mouth with baking soda,
ease swelling with warm/cold tea and cold pineapple's chunks
Do few times until no more cough, pain.

Gargle with salt water, try not to talk and use a humidifier to moisten the air in your room.
