my rca truflat turns itself on and off, is there anything i can do without taking it back?

My tv turns on and off like a curcuit inside is getting tripped, is this common with the rca's or am I stuck having to take it back and try to exchange it?

dude if you can exchange it do it, that means you haven't had it to long if you are considering this and if it's already giving problems it's better to get a different one
