If you have the cash, you NEED to buy the M-Audio Black Box. Not only does it give you PC connectivity, but it also includes a loop machine and a ton o' different amp effects, not to mention tuning box and other useful utilities. You can also download amps and loops from the net and load them into memory. Combined with a program like Abelton Live, it puts a one-man studio right in the palm of your hand. I bought it for my step-son for Christmas and he doesn't leave home without it.
MSRP: $329.95 comes with Abelton Live

If you don't have the cash and just want to hook it up to the PC, use this product by the same company. It's all the JamLab:
MSRP: $79.00

you will need the normal ear phone plugs connector. You can use the line in jack of your sound card to connect it. If you want to go professional then there are other hardware that you will need to purchase....
so basically all you need is a converter from 1/4" to a 3.5mm

One way, is to take your guitar amp, the output (headphone lines) and buy a output - output cable. Buy the connector that turns one end to a standard stereo output, hook it to you soundcards input device and walla. Maybe that made no sense? Oh well, goodluck
