The grind-it-out half court offense, or the run-and-gun fast break offense?

Of course i like the run-and-gun fast break, shoot, defend Phoenix style stuff.

This is why basketball was invented. To shoot the ball and score more points. It just evolved into halfcourt stuff due to improvement of defense.

As a kid, you played basketball coz wanted to shoot right?

I prefer the half-court offense. This is where you find out about the players' knowledge of the game, their game instincts and their ability to play the right way. Through the plays run by the team, we can also determine whether the players are well-coached. On the other hand, the run-and-gun style of play, I think, is more of a "show-off" of the players' athletic abilities, i.e. speed, quickness and jumping ability, and not necessarily skills and smarts. Of course, a team must run from time to time, when the opportunity presents itself.

it depends on the team, I love to see the deeper teams like Dallas run the Phoenix style run and gun, and the more shallow teams run a grind it out half court offense... I wish the Oklahoma City/New Orleans Hornets would just stay in OKC, they have done tons better there... PLUS I am from OKC so I love to see my town have a pro team, besides the AFL 2 OKC YardDawgz... we need a power forward to help Tyson Chandler out and give someone for Chris Paul to pass to.... who does Al Harrington play for?

well it actually depends on the type of team that you have! Suns, run n gun! spurs, half court! depends on what your team is better at!!! I actually like both, run n gun a little better! Just cuz its more exciting to watch and play!
