ok well i have a movie (dvd) that i want to put on my ipod but i'm not sure how con you help plz

hi sgrassman! you need to convert the dvd into a format that itunes can read. here's a how-to on doing this using a popular free program called handbrake: http://howto.diveintomark.org/ipod-dvd-ripping-guide/

but u can find many other free vids too - just go to the itunes store and click "podcasts" on the left-hand side of the window. then look for the "featured video podcasts" at the bottom of the page, or just explore the many categories of podcasts and look for the ones that mention they are video!

Try to use the great Cucusoft iPod Video Converter Suite which can convert both DVD media and video file media to iPod video/iPod movie, such as DVD, vob, DivX, XviD, MOV, rm, rmvb, MPEG, WMV, AVI to iPod video (MP4 format). Also, it supports DVD to MP3 audio conversion and DVD to Apple TV conversion.

Just buy it off of iTunes because if you use one of those converters you can get fined up to $250,000 because you broke the dvds copyright.
