I asked a question today: "Should Bush resign?" and it was met with no facts, but rather personal threats and blatant lies (the old "liberal media" lie for one). And, of course, there was the requisite "Slick Willie" reference. Why has America turned into a nation of unquestioning, unpatriotic sheep?

"he doesn't support babykilling" ... that's a funny one. obviously you meant abortion , not the scores of children killed by bombs he authorized. but it doesn't matter, those aren't american kids.
Mainly, the answer you already know, is because there is no defense to his actions. They're simply deplorable. At least I would have some respect if one Bush supporter was actually supportive of what actually went on, a war of aggression for natural resources in order to preserve position as top world superpower. At least then, they wouldn't be hypocritical.

These Bush supporters are very ANGRY sheeple at that.
If you don't reason logically and are swayed by emotional rhetoric, then anger is the only defense.
You will not most of them have no sense of responsibility for these 2 long and dreary terms of " Decider " Administrations.
Bush is probably the first American Dictator. I am glad he is not any smarter. All Bush's supporters use for argument are fear and personal attacks. They think everyone is just like them when it comes to ascribing motive. Its not a very far stretch from stealing presidential elections to stealing civil rights, looting the Treasury and going after oil in other sovereign nations. Bush apologists have a problem with honesty and accountability.
I guess they know they are in a lose/ lose situation.

Some people are uneducated and ignorant as to how badly our country has faltered since Bush has been president. Then there are those who are "die hard Republicans" and will never stray away from the herd.

Because it's easier to hurl insults and attack the speaker than it is to actually debate the issues.
Discussing the issues takes time and thought. Mindless attacks take neither. So, its more efficient for them to deflect the issue than to address it.
Personal attacks and emotional rhetoric. The last refuge of the intellectually incapable.

He has done nothing wrong, he got Congress's authorization to start the war, he lowers taxes, he doesn't support babykilling. Why would he resign when he has done nothing illegal to interfere with his Presidency?
