I would invent the internet.

If the internet was never invented I'd be busy doing that thing that was invented instead if the internet but didn't really get invented because the internet was invented afterall. Then I would be asking President Al Gore, "What was the name of that world wide thingy you said you invented but nobody knew what the hell you where talking about?"

Then I'd take my word processor in for rapair at "Wozniak's World of Wild Writing Gadget's" Where I would find Steve tinkering with a really cool but useless computer that he built from scratch and telling me "I have 116 terabytes copying to these flash drives to send via FedEx... I'll be with you in a second!" In the background his automatic dialer dialing FedEx and getting nothing but busy signals.

I would spring for a stamp and mail "real" people. At least that's what I did before the Net. Yup, I'm of the generation that mailed friends. Letters from friends used to mean something...... They spent some time composing a personal message and it meant something. Now things have changed and I accept it......but don't have to like it, now do I?

Worrying about my porn collection under the bed, as it would be in magazine form and not so easy to store, and if I was otherwise inclined trying to invent a system of global networks communicating via servers and satelite that would allow communication and data transfer with the ability to span continents at the speed of light. It potentially would be the greatest resource known to man kind with its unlimited potential. I would call it the "GPTS" (GLOBAL PORN TRANSFER SYSTEM)

What would you be doing?

Writing letters to friends! I like to keep in touch and this way is so much easier and better! I can have a conversation with friends around the world! The only drawback being it means a late night!
