What would you do????????????????????????????

Question

What would you do, if this happened? One night in a concentration camp a boy is raped and some of his uniform is taken away by the rapist. Prisioners who incorrectly dressed are shot at dawn by the guards. Should he accept his fate or steal from someone else? What you do?

I had to answer this question in my Theology Class, and i was just wondering if other's were put in this horrific situation, what would they do?|

OMG this is really difficult. I would like to say i would accept my fate bravely and stand tall knowing that I have not sent someone else to his death.
However, in reality the survival instinct is strong so I might possibly steal some clothing. But would I then be able to live myself knowing that I had sent someone else to his death? I don't think I could but in those conditions who knows.
If I were to steal some clothes though, I would try my hardest to steal some clothes from the rapist, or just steal my clothes back.

I think I would be in a pretty distressed state anyway if I'd be raped so I'm not sure whether I would have the presence of mind to start looking for bits of clothing but I hope I wouldn't steal off someone else knowing that they would then be shot. The big problem in answering this type of question is that unless it has actually happened to you, it is impossible to know how you would react. You know how you hope you would behave but in reality? I don't' know. I just hope I wouldn't hurt anyone else just to save myself..

A moral dilemma, huh? What the boy "should" do isn't necessarily what he will do, not in that unnatural environment. What would I do? I would tell an old dying man what happened and ask him to give me his uniform in exchange for a promise to help his family when I got out of there. Also, this would give me a chance to find the rapist and slice his throat while he lay sleeping.

I'd try my best to find another uniform (not stealing it or putting someone else in danger of being shot) if I couldn't I would just accept that maybe being shot is what its meant to happen.

i would want to accept my fate because in a concentration camp, the rapist would never be caught. also, i could not live with the knowledge that someone else's death was caused by my theft, even if it was necessary to live.

Neither, find the rapist beat the crap out of him and take my uniform back or make a break for it. Either way I don't have to be dishonest or sit there like a fool and take it lying down.

If it came down to a matter of survival I would have to put aside all my high minded ideals and steal someone else's uniform.
I'd feel guilty afterwards, obviously, but if it came down to a choice between me and you to live, then I'm going to have to pick me!
The question is who's uniform do you steal?
Do you take it from someone who is to weak to protest, or do you risk taking it from someone you dislike or have a grudge against but may be stronger?

hmmmm ...i'd do neither...i'd find a different way around the problem.... either avoid being seen at dawn or steal from another source...id risk all to save my own skin but never at the hands of another innocent.

Is the boy a prisoner? If not, then he has nothing to fear.

If he is, then he's f*cked anyway. Concentration camps, by definition, don't offer any hope to 'prisoners'.

Good question. I may want to die after that. Tell me, did a guard do it or another prisoner? I need more info.
