I've never been to Texas and would imagine that I wouldn't be welcomed there.
I saw this picture of a guy with a cowboy hat, and I don't think it was a joke. That sort of startled me.

Wearing of any kind of hat for protection from so much air, so much heart from the sun, so much coolness of the weather is a right of every citizen especially so when in Texas because the place is really mountainous area where cowboy hats are fitted to be used thereat.
I believe you are very welcome in going to Texas as long as your intention in going there is good. I mean no intention of committing offense against the state.
Don't be afraid going to Texas because people there are loving people like you provided you will not make foolishness against them, you will not be hurt by them. The cowboys there are not the same persons being shown on the movies just to shot another person without bringing them to the court of justice for trial. Those are only for showing on movies not the truth about cowboys.

All the time. Not only do they look very nice, a true cowboy hat that is, but when you work out in the sun it will shade your face. Plus that is just part of a cowboy's attire.

Many Texans wear cowboy hats in earnest. I've seen wedding pictures where the groomsmen are in tuxes and cowboy hats.

Dude, I think there might even still be real cowboys in Texas! They wear those hats cuz it's part of their culture, they think they look cool.

A lot of people wear those hats as serious hats. People do it here in Wisconsin as well. It's just the style that they feel suits them the best.

I've lived in Texas my entire life and I've rarely known anyone to wear a cowboy hat.

People everywhere enjoy the hats. My stepfather, a Sicilian guy from CT, has two of them---one cloth, one leather. He looks very nice in hats like that, I think. You really have to have the face for it, and some people who wear them don't.

Its because alot of Texas is farm/ranch land and that is pretty much the standard uniform of ranchers and farmers.

Smoke a cigar, on a similar time as donning colorations, on a similar time as eating a lager, on a similar time as speaking with strippers you met on the club the night earlier, on a similar time as in a warm tub in the darkish in Las Vegas. guy, that became a marvelous week.
