I've used a screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the clips from window cranks and door handles on GM cars.

It has a clip, but the more you try to pull out on the crank to see, the harder it is to see, you have to push in around the crank to get a look, the clip should have a raised area in the middle of the clip, I have better luck looking down, turning the crank until I see the raised spot and using a slim but stiff wire making a U in it and hooking it and pulling it up. Hope this helps.

The retaining clip looks like a "C" with the ends turned out. Find a small stiff piece of wire and bend the end into a small hook. The hook end should nor stick out very far so you can slip it under the clip. Not much room to work in there. Push in on door panel to see behind the handle and locate the c-clip. Reach in and hook the clip with the wire and pull it straight out. Carefully, because those clips can fly off and be lost real easy. If you lose it, parts stores will usually have some. It's hard to get needle-nose pliers in there.

It is a big help to go and get a haynes manual for this vehicle; It is well worth the 15 bucks and it goes over this topic. But, strait from them, it says to use a thing cotton cloth, pull it tight, and slide it back and forth behind the crank. You might have to try it on different sides of the crank but it works. Good luck!!

If you have a very skinny set of needlenose pliars, that will work if you are very good at bumping needle heads together...
You can get the tool at O'reilly or Autozone for 5.00...it is in the Help! Section of their store. Believe me, you will want this tool. The window tracks on your truck have a tendency to go out as well, so you'll need it more often than you think.

Take 2 little flat nosed screwdrivers ,push the door panel in enough to see where the C clip is facing and using both screwdrivers push the clip out. Then to reinstall clip the clip back on and take your hand or a rubber mallot and tap it back on

I used a blow torch to get mine off. Or you can just buy a Ford Ranger because they don't break.
