Somebody told me this story once...
Two people go into a coffee shop, one is black the other is white. The worker in the shop is rude to both of them. The white guy assumes the worker is having a bad day or doesn't like their job. The black guy assumes the worker doesn't like black people and is rude to him because of it.
It's all a matter of perspective. Something to think about.
I'm not saying it's right, it is the way it is.
Today I went to lunch and saw a white man and a black lady eating together, I thought how great is that, it's nice to see them socializing together. Then I got to thinking, how wonderful would it be if we (as a society) could see a couple like that and not give it a second thought, as though it was just as common and everyday as anything else.

It's just how the world is, and depends on what part of the country your from. I'm from south texas where white people are the actual minority yet still don't get treated as such and harassed. And it's not just for jokes too, its all about being politically correct, I didn't get a lot of scholarships simply because I'm white or jobs because I wanted minimum wage and to be legally employed for taxes, and it just makes everything seem so unfair when you're told, "Well, yes your the most qualified applicant, but we want to present our acceptance of diversity," over and over again.
I did ask my interracial roomate this when we were talking about different hate incidents and she blew mine off explaining, that it was less important because it affects a much smaller amount of the population, that most white people are never racially discriminated against and because of the past. So we decided it's all about perspective and being politcally incorrect.

Because you along with the majority of white people let this happen. White people never stick up for their selves and it proves we are an easy target. You know that dorky kid that got bullied so much in your class going through high school. He got this treatment because he did nothing about it and when people made cruel jokes on him, he just put a fake grin on his face and pretended to laugh along hoping they would start to respect him. He never got that respect because he never made a stand for himself. In America today, we are that dorky kid. We don't have to be. Speak up.

WHAT I THINK... WHITE PEOPLE HAVE THE REPUTATION OF BEING RACIST. SO IN ORDER FOR PEACE AND LESS RIOTS WE TEND TO LET THE OTHER RACE'S GET AWAY WITH A LOT MORE, THAT WAY IT MAKES US LOOK BETTER. AFTER ALL, THIS IS AMERICA. EVERY ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO COME OVER HERE AND WE SHOULD BE SO GRATEFUL THAT WE CHANGE OUR LANGUAGE TO THEIRS AND BE ONE HAPPY FAMILY. BUT IF VACATIONING SOMEWHERE ELSE.. BRING A BOOK TO TRANSLATE CAUSE YOU CAN BET YOUR SWEET A** THEIR NOT GOING TO CHANGE ANYTHING TO SUIT US OR MAKE IT EASIER FOR US.

I think you should go over your bosses head and talk to his boss because discrimination goes both ways, could you file a lawsuit for discrimination and slander to you because now everyone thinks your racist? just a thought! good luck
