My wife started an affair after 17 years of marriage , she was acting like she was back in highschool when we met. She fell hard and fast and no matter what me or our kids or our family said there was NO bringing her back. I read that the body releases chemicals and is very addicting like a drug. Is all women like this or do some realize what is going on. She is starting to come back to reality now after 4 months and she picked up about 15 # but is still with her coworker.

I believe it is like a drug, and I believe it is "a-dick-ding."

She could come back, however, after the novelty wears off. But then would you want her back? That would be up to you. So be prepared. After picking up 15 pounds, I might have to kick her out (lol, just a little humor, I know how bad it hurts.)

I have heard that too. But its often referred to the honey moon period it last for about 4 or 5 months. People men or women mistake lust for love all the time. They get stuck in the monotony of day to day life then they do something stupid like have an affair. Not everyone does that tough. Usually they talk to there partner. Hopefully for you and you family she realizes her huge mistake and begs for forgiveness. Then it's all up to you. You need to ask yourself some serious questions. Can you find forgiveness? No ones perfect. If you really want her the best way is to make her jealous. If your not ready to date yet ask a female friend to pose. You don't have to kiss or nothing. She'll see you with someone else then she'll realize what she's losing. Its work for me but everyone different. Good luck!

You got to ask yourself why this happened. Women usually cheat because they are not receiving love and attention from their husbands or boyfriends. If someone is being neglected at home and all of a sudden another person shows them the affection they are missing, then yeah it is going to be easy for them to fall in love. What does her weight have to do with it except the coworker mad her happy and she put on some pounds.

It affects us all different but one thing that can happen is the mid life crisis thing or medopaus which makes us think we are no longer sexy at our age and we are out to proove that we are still sexy or attractive to other men, but by then it may be too late to save the relationship. The chemical imbalance during medopaus can cause all kinds of crazy thinking and acting...take care Heather

STATS SHOW THAT 95% OF ALL MARRIED PEOPLE HAVE AFFAIRS. THAT MEANS ONE OR MORE AFFAIRS AND MANY END UP IN DIVORCE ( 50% ).
SOME STAY IN AFFAIRS (LIKE IT WAS NORMAL) AND OTHERS MAY HAVE ONE AND NEVER DO IT AGAIN.

NO SHOES FITS THE SAME ON OTHER PEOPLE...REASON FOR THIS OR THAT...

FORGET HORMONES..ADULTERY IS ADULTERY..
EXCUSES ARE JUST EXCUSES.

THOSE 5% THAT DON'T COMMIT ADULTERY..THATS THE 5% THAT WORK ON MARRAIGES AND COMMUNICATIONS..
PEOPLE LUST BUT LUST ISN'T ADULTERY--ACTING ON URGES LEADS TO SEXUAL ACTS..AND ONE CAN SAY NO--JUST LIKE THE DARE DRUG PROGRAM.. JUST SAY NO.
I'VE KNOWN MANY MEN AND WOMEN MAKE FOOLS OF THEMSELVES OVER ANOTHER PERSON...AND PUFF LIKE WIND OR FOG ITS OVER AND MARRIAGE IS BUSTED.. REPUTATION AND JOB-CAREER...SHOT...

WE CAN'T CHASE YOUTH..WE NEED TO LEARN TO BE CONTENT WITH WHAT WE HAVE--LOVE AND COUNT OUR BLESSING WITH WHAT WE GOT...
WHEN ITS GONE----WE CAN'T GET IT BACK...

AND ALL THE PEOPLE WE HURT...

It happens to us all differently but why are you standing there waiting for her as she is doing what she wants with who she wants while you are at home being faithful. You need to go ahead and file for divorce. Yes 17 yrs is a long time too be married but its not long enough to be disrespected .
