He says if he senses i`m really nervous then so will my examiner when i finally sit my test.So i was just wondering if anyone has tried rescue remedy and if it does work?I`ve tried taking calms before but felt they made me a bit too calm and i wasn`t really taking anything in,help appreciated, thanx.

yes yes yes, it is cool. mobile, instant, reliving. must agree with others that it is subtle.. and yeah drips under the tongue.

NOTE; do not touch the pipette on your lips / etc because it will carry your saliva back into the bottle and degrade what is there. you should not have anything to eat 15 mins before or after using it [good to rinse out your mouth before you 'start the clock' before any ALTERNATIVE remedies]. this is because the overwhelming chemical effect of e.g. sugar/coffee/wheat etc on the digestive response mechanisms in the mouth will smash a lot of the 'rescue' out of the 'remedy' - just to share that with you!!

keep it from sunlight/ heat/ freezing. another way if you want to give / take it when the mouth is suffering - eg. coldsore / vomiting / etc then drip behind ears, at nape of chest [where right posh ladies put perfumes] and at the pulse point on the wrist- these are points on the body that absorb and transmit such infusions/potions as this.
ok last trick!! 30 drips in a glass of water and leave it on the side, take a sip every time you pass the glass through the evening. most potent times to take seem to be first thing in the morning and very last thing at night.
oh yeah that warning about the brandy is true though!
-good luck with your driving.
peace

Yes I have used it when feeling a little stressed and I recommend it. You can either put a few sprays onto your pulse points or in your mouth. Rescue Remedy contains bach flowers and brandy - the brandy of course is used to help preserve the flowers and their properties. You can buy it from Boots or other herbal shops such as Holland and Barrett for as little as £3. If you find this isnt suitable for you, you could also try dabbing Lavender essential oil neatly onto your pulse points (behind ears and on wrists). Lavender is well known for its relaxing and anti-stress properties.

my driving instructor suggested I took rescue remedy before my test. I was a nervous wreck, especially since I'd failed twice already.
I took a couple of drops a day, every day, for a week before my test, and I passed. It does not turn you into a comatose idiot. I was still a little nervous, and it was better than kalms.. I remember taking that years ago, cos my cousin was really annoying me, and we were having a family dinner. I ended up telling her to f**k off, and exactly what I really felt..

good luck with the test

yes it's wonderful and I use it all the time before my driving lessons (I had the same problem as you). Ignore the wally who thinks you can get drunk from it. It tastes like brandy but there's only a tiny amount of alcohol in it. Not enough to even touch the sides. Good luck.

hi, yes I have and i know others that have to. I found it helpful, but whether it was due to mind over matter - you think it will help so it does, or that it really did work , i don't know but it helped me with my nerves during exams at college.I would recommend it, just follow directions on the bottle.Good luck and just remember if the worse happens and you do fail your test, you can always retake it, it took me 3 attempts to pass my driving test but i got there in the end.Best wishes.

Rescue remedy is great, but the effects are subtle. It helps restore balance, but does not sedate you.

I know lots of people who use it and swear by it never tried it myself but it's got to be worth it. Try using before your test though to make sure it works and does not leave you too chilled!
