Forget partisan politics. The mere fact that someone wants to hear from us voters is a plus regardless of how those opinions are posted.

Dumb is just that...making more of a simple question than it is worth. It's
a very simple question or don't you understand it? Sheesh! Yes or No works for me, or should I move the question to "Polls"?

Ah gamlof, that's what he is doing. Log onto his Yahoo and give him your feedback. All I'm asking is if what he is doing is a good idea. Another big Sheesh to those who just can't answer the question with a simple YES or NO.

OBama's question has been answered repeatedly over the past 250 years (just read history and politics), and over many centuries in other world governments. McCain a few days ago and now Hillary, also asked a question. For Hillary the answers have been readily available with easy access, for the last 30 years, and models of how to implement her issue exist in European and some Latin American countries-- so why ask us when the answer is before her eyes?
It seems the the goal is not to seek real answers, after all the greatest minds have been hashing this stuff out for numerous years, but more so to engage the populace in whatever way possible. Do I see this as a sincere effort to obtain info-- not for a minute. Do I see it as an effort to engage us- yep!
The realities are, this is what political commercials attempt to do... but thye're a passive format.

Does he really want to hear from us? Or is this just a ploy to give us that impression? Regardless of his motives (which I will not claim to know), the questions he asks are rather vapid and pointless. There is no reason to ask "How can we get more people involved in the democratic process?" These are questions that have been asked before and quite thoroughly explored. If Sen. Obama really wants answers, he should learn more about the philosophies of government, rather than asking for answers from a random Joe Schmoe.
