I have been trying to conceive for over a year now, and recently starting going through some testing to see why I am having trouble conceiving the 3rd time. ( I have 2 children already & didnt really have any problems conceiving them?) I received a call from my dc. yesturday saying I have some kind of viginal bacteria infection, (RePlasm) sp? My dc. gave my hubby & I both medication we have to take to get rid of it. She said it is not a STD, but is sexually trimitted. So we both have to be treated, she also said I have cyst on my cervix, so I am taking med's for that too. I asked her if after I take the medication & its gone, if I will be able to concieve? She didnt really come start out and say yes or no or even maybe, she just stated that it will keep me from getting concieving if I do not get treated. As anyone ever had this & got pregnant after it was gone. I have never had anything like this!! Any advice would be helpful! Thank you!

yes, most medications will cause this to happen. well antiboditics and prednisone. yes , hun, don't worry about it you will be fine. the reason why you can;t conceive when you have this is because your lacking cervical mucus which you need for the sperm to be transmitted. there isn't anything to be worried about.

I have gone through TTC as well but for 3 years and also have 2 children which I had no trouble concieving. I don't have any infections though and the gyno cant find whats wrong. My advice is to get these problems cleared up first then go see a gyno and talk to him/her about TTC. They will do some tests on both of you and give you an answer. With any luck these problems you are having now is what has caused the problems and you will soon be pregnant. Good luck with it all

she probably cant give a good answer until you are checked again after taking all your meds. stop stressing. it wont help. take all the meds and have a follow up visit. if she isnt more helpful then, consider switching docs. good luck. i had a child after having an infection. he is fine.
