There are a few things that some people find to help - hot water bottles, or you could try those heat patches for muscles when you're at school, certain forms of exercise like doing crunches or anything that requires you to use your lower abdomenal muscles even contracting them in your chair doing leg lifts or something, will help ease the pain. Also, moving around - if you can like jog or just anything that keeps your legs moving it helps a bit. There isnt much more that will actually make them go away other than pills, if your finding one brand gives you stomach problems try tylenol or something else....

The hot water bottle works great. I'd follow the other person's suggestion and go to the nurses' office if you have the cramps during school. For some reason, cramping seems more prevelant during the early years of menstruating. Advil or Motrin helps too.

try those thermacare or whatever heating pads. they help me alot, and if u don't mind wearing them to school, then it's okay. usually they're pretty easy to hide...just stick them on your stomach or back wherever the cramps seem to be comming from most.

What helps my cramps alot on my period is working out. I don't go the gym or NEthing, and it's kinda hard to get yourself to do stuff, but taking a little jog, doing cruches and other workouts help...even though i hate myself while I'm doing it cuz all i want 2 do is sit on my sofa and eat ice cream, I feel so much better because 1, i didn't just eat a gallon of ice cream, and 2 i really helps a lot and if you get a good workout, it makes you feel so good!

I practice Karate as well, not anything really serious...I don't know much about Karate (I had to drop out after i got my Orange belt because I moved, and i haven't restarted) but you don't really need to know much for it to help. punching and kicking around while blasting my heavy metal music makes me feel so good!

Also u may wanna look in2 some herbal stuff. It's always better for you and sometimes works a whole lot better. I don't no much about herbs and stuff, but do some research and hopefully u'll find something for you.

Good Luck <(^_^)>

Since I have really bad cramps too, I usually take Tylenol about 2 days before I start my period to help with the cramps, and then eat bananas and use a heating pad/hot water bottle during.

go to the nurses office and usually you will recieve and big jug sort type of thing and it is filled with hot, hot water then you put it on your stomach and lay in the nurse's office until the pain goes away. otherwise nothing else can really help in school and pills usually dont work all the time for some people's cramps.

I know this may sound really bad but seriously masturbation is a really good way to get rid of cramps. Not joking. It relaxes the muscles and relieves cramps.

ya, i know what you mean. i have the same problem. i get cramps so bad i can't walk and curled up in a ball. you may need to go your doctor and have them prescribe you a medication if nothing else works. i used to drink alot of caffeine, but since i went to decaffeined soda my cramps are not that bad at least not this time around. lol. good luck

Advil or Tylenol unless you have a problem and you can't take them. Women are different ... some suffer some do not. Just make the best of it and talk with your Mom. Surely she will support you in the solution ... Good luck!

A heat pack can work. There are natural remedies that can or contraception that can help if this is a monthly problem. You can talk to either your local chemist or doctor for the natural remedies and talk to your doctor or local family planning centre for the contraception.
