I'm up there test score wise (compositeof 30 on the ACT upper 75% for that school) and at the lower third GPA wise (3.0). I got a rejection letter last week. And I'm not saying that they have to accept me or that I'm the most prospective student. However, I also don't think my application was taken into serious consideration. I sent my app online and then later sent my essay, letters of rec, and copies of volunteer work in via fax, which even though i called to confirm they never responded to tell me whether they had received them or not. Futhermore, on my official transcript it says that i got a "20" on the ACT because that's what i got my JR. year, i was sick that day and knew i didn't do well so i took it the next time they offered it and got a composite of 30. I had those scores sent to the school but i dont know if they even took those into account. Should i just let this go or should i setup a meet w/ an admission officer to reevaluate everything with all the correct documents?

If you are worried (like if you know of less qualified applicants that got in) then you should contact the admissions office.

However, I doubt that that is what happened. When I applied for college I did it all online. I never heard anything about them receiving test scores or recommendation letters.

But still, I got rejected from the top 2 schools I applied to, and got into others. Most likely your qualifications were not good enough but hopefully you got into some other really good schools.

Before you try to deal directly with the admissions office, which I am not sure you will be given the chance, I would make sure that the admissions office has all your latest and the best scores. This can be found out fairly easily by calling and asking questions such as "have you received my ACT score taken at certain date?" You will be dealing with people working in the records office whom are more readily accessible. Also persistence pays off. Don't give up just because they did not respond first few times. This is not high school. No one will spoon feed you any longer. Good luck.
