The recollection of a past event. They can be good or bad, and I believe we find ourselves constantly looking back on them, no matter how practical or realistic we may be. Often I look back on memories and only end up wondering the 'what ifs' and wishing that things could be different now.

However, it could be true that we need our past to have the ability of being successful. Would you really have goals to improve on something if we never had a hard spot for it in the first place? In a way, we all need the knowledge of past wrongs and remembrance of better times to have the will power to strive for something better, higher, and more rewarding in the future.

This can bring up the question of why some say the most important word in the English language is 'remember'...

Every single Good or Bad action you did in your previous past is called a Memory. Whether you're proud of it or not, it exists in your Memory and takes a part in your Brains 'N life.
It could be painful, it could be joyful.

Being able to remember any aspect of your past.

I think that is the exact definition of memory. If you think about it that is what a memory does.
