If you're the type of person who "likes to explore" and are, and this is important, sufficiently emotionally stable and confident in yourself that you won't freak out while living on the wild side, then why not go for it, at least on a trial basis.
Maybe you could tell your friend that you're not absolutely sure, yet, that you swing both ways and you just want to give it a try on a sort of no big commitment basis.
You might want to ask yourself if you're really attracted to men, as well. For myself, I often think that trying a gay thing might be an interesting experience, but I'm really just not sexually attracted to guys, so it's never happened.
I'd also say that if you were raised with a typical christian upbringing you might want to reflect upon how such a relationship will affect your self-image. If you still care "what Jesus thinks", then you might have to work on doing some self deprogramming before jumping in.
If you're really ready for it, try it, keep it light. See what happens! If you're not ready, have a friendly put-offski talk with your buddy and tell him he might have to wait for you to get your internal house in order, first.

But if you're straight and want to keep your rep clean, then i say no.
But if you're gay or bi, then sure why not?
Nobody is stopping u and if people laugh at you.
Who cares.

why not? just go for it...live is experimental, we learn all the way...all human are same basically...just give a shot...u wont regret it u never know until u discover it ur self...dont discriminate people or else some one will do the same to u...

if you're comfortable with it, go for it. but be honest about it....if you think you like him, tell him. if you're just doing it out of curiosity, tell him that, too.
