I'm looking for a site in which I could customize my preferred artists and be alerted by email when they annouce tour dates in cities I've chose (US and Canada).

If you have itunes, you will love this program. Install it as the instructions say, and it will take all of the artists in your library and put their tour dates on a calendar for your preferred city. It pretty much rocks.

Ticketmaster itself will let you know when groups come into your area.
