People have been doing it for years. As long as your septic system is working you will have a "healthy garden".

No. When I was a child, I worked on a vegetable farm next to a Pig farm. The pigs were fed all kinds of garbage from restaurants in New York City. The farms were in Seacucus,N.J. Anyway, the pig manure was piled up next to where I was pulling up weeds. I spotted some red things on top of the pile, so I went over to see what they were. They turned out to be tomato plants and had the largest and most delicious tomatoes around. Each day, till there were no more, i brought them home to my mother. I'm still alive! That was in 1948.

NO WAY !!! Have our veg garden over septic field over 20 years, and been growing tomatoes, beans, peppers, lettuce, zucchini, cucumbers and never any problem.
