"Arete" is indeed a Greek word which basically means excellence and goodness. It is an act of living man's life to it's highest potential or in other words, an act of living the best that he can be. Like for example, many great philosophers and great personalities in Greece exemplified "arete" in their steadfast pursuit of excellence and one of them was Alexander the great. In my own opinion, "arete" is a virtue which is to be followed by anyone who wants to be a SOMEBODY in the future. SOMEBODY means a successful citizen in the future. I believe the world that we lived in is full of difficulties and conflicts and in order to achieve our goal in life, we must be brave and be the best that we can be.
