Tossing a die is an event that has six possible outcomes. The die can come up 1, 2,3,4,5 or 6.
When you roll the die and a 3 comes up, the outcome is 3. Its the result of the event that is being measured.
Each time you toss the die, it generates an outcome. Each of the potential outcomes has a probability associated with it.
It so happens that with a regular die, each face has an equal probability of being on top. So each outcome has an equal probability if you are rolling the die once. (a probability of 1 in 6, or 1/6 in that case).
If you were measuring instead the outcome when you roll a die twice, each outcome would be a pair of (X, Y) where X and Y are numbers between 1 and 6.
So the outcome is the result of the measured event.

If you are talking about the probability...the answer to for 3 is 1/6...you have 1/6 (or 17% or 0.17) chance that the outcome will be 3.
Now for the second part - ODD (same as even) - there are 3 odd numbers (1, 3, 5) on the die so you have a 3/6 chance that the outcome of a throw will be an odd number (or even). And 3/6 is really 1/2 (or 50% or 0.5) chance.

If so the answer is 1/6 - the die has 6 sides, so if it is not fixed in some way (unevenly weighted) each side has an equal probability of being the outcome, which is 1 in 6.
