I never had a dog before and adopted one from the shelter at 29. I don't know how I lived without a dog before. Sure it's a lot of time and money, and no more spontaneous happy hours, but you can have the worst day and come home to that fuzzy, happy face and all of your worries melt away.
It also is a great feeling to know that you have saved a life, and possibly two since you opened up a spot at the shelter. Best thing I ever did was to adopt my guy!

I may be terrible, but this is the first time in 34 years I have NOT had a pet, and I think it's relaxing to be without that responsibility, But my husband who stays home all day, due to a disability, really wants to get another dog, and I really don't want to. They are alot of work and you have to revolve your schedule around them.

Hi, I would like to have a pet because I am an animal lover first class.There isnt an animal that Idont like, dogs,cats,fish,birds,horses,guinea pigs etc etc.If I dont have an animal to love I feel lost.Right now I have two fantailed goldfish and they are just beauutiful.My father is also an animal lover but my mother doesnt like them,if it were up to me I would have a farm,but unfortunatly we dont have a big yard ,this is why I have fish. rubberstampr
