when determining a resistors value, which side do u start when looking at the colors??

i dont know what end to look at when doing the # # x 10^# thing in my physics honors class

The side with the colors closest to the edge. The other answer is the side away from the tollerance band (gold, silver etc)

when you are looking at the resistor look for the side that doesnt have a gold or silver band when you are looking at the resistor just say red red blue the first two bands are put togther so 22 , and the thrid band is you mulitiplier so you would times 22 by 6 so your answer would be 22000Kohms
