Hi. I just finished installing x11 for my imac and i'm interested in downloading gimp.
I went to Gimp.org, but I can't find the actual 'download' link. And the installation of the program itself seems very complicated.
Can someone please help, maybewalk me through this?
Thanks a bunch in advance. :-)

Install X11 from your install disk, the X11 download won't work. Click on GIMP-2.2.11.dmg from here to download.
http://gimp-app.sourceforge.net/
All you need to install GIMP to your HDD is to double click the download and open the disk image if it automatically doesn't, then click and drag the GIMP icon to your Applications directory. After installing GIMP to your Mac follow the instructions for setting it up. It's a pictorial that's easy to follow and understand, even if it was made on a PC.

Whenever you want to use GIMP just open it from you app directory or if you have opted to keep it in your Dock, open it from there. X11 will automatically launch. Close both GIMP and X11 when finished using GIMP.
