We waste tax money by sendin teens to school who just dropout.

No. I do not agree that high school should be optional. But the educational system is much too easy on the students.

It is my opinion that if a teenager makes the choice to drop out of high school (or if he is kicked out for behavioural problems), then he should be forced to attend a boot-camp style programme where emphasis is on discipline and moral values.

And the parents should have no say whatsoever in this process. They had their chance to instil these values into the child and either failed, or the child was unresponsive. Either way the child needs a stricter environment.

Well, that is their choice I guess, maybe there should be sticter laws for the parents that let this happen. Without an education, even if it is just High School, this country would not run. No country runs well without an educated population. Do you really think that education is a waste of money? You obviously don't see the big picture on education.

High school needs to be emphasized as an integral part of a complete life and a way out of the ghettos and inner cities.
