Gold is found where you find it. (An old prospectors saying.)Gold is found in just about every country. In Canada, northern Ontario, Red Lake area: they are finding more reserves there all the time.South Africa, Rhodesia, California and Alaska in the USA. .Gold is usually associated with certain types of rock so what geologists , prospectors lock for are these types of rock. At times , prospectors have walked around rocks not included in the gold bearing types and later kicked themselves that they were sitting on a rock pile and didnt sample them . This happened for many years in a place called Hemlo. In the 70's, 3 mines were opened there. Two of them are still going as strong today.
So you see, Gold is found , by accident , by association on purpose, where you find it.
