oh! i just thought of something for all u people who say batman is so smart he can beat spiderman somehow. well anyways, if batman is so smart, he'd know that spiderman would beat him up. an example of this would be that one guy's comment about batman bluffing against superman because batman knows he would've gotten beaten.

Spiderman would definitely win as Batman has no superhuman powers, just his skills as the world's greatest detective. Spiderman has an early warning system that allows him to evade any attacks against him (Spider Sense) & is fast enough to take Batman down before Batman knew what happened. If Batman was given a few days before the fight took place then that would give him sufficient time to develop something to counteract Spiderman's abilities.

Batman.
But only if Spiderman really needed a whuppin. Batman has a burning drive from back when his parents were killed. Spiderman doesn't have it in him to go to the same level. Read "Batman, the Dark Knight Returns" and "Batman, The Dark Knight Strikes Again". Single minded pursuit of justice is Batman's bailiwick.

Peter Parker became Spiderman due to an accident and then his uncle being killed. Bruce Wayne CHOSE to become Batman after the murder of his parents and had to work, and work, and work at it to become the Dark Knight. Justice is something not for the meek, because the laws protect the guilty and the innocent. Batman protects the innocent. But there is no mercy for the guilty.

The one weakness that Spiderman has is that he doesn't use his full powers in a fight. Since he knows Batman has no super powers, he would hold back. Batman would know that he couldn't sneak up on Spidey, so he would come up with a way to counteract that. Spidey would be in serious trouble if he ran out of web fluid, because then he would have to rely on his strength and agility, the only problem is that Batman is just as agile, and he would have something in his utility belt to give him an advantage. Batman has one thing that Spiderman doesn't...a dark side. Batman would actually fight to the death, whereas Spidey would just as soon leave the fight.

Batman! He's cool, hot, and smart. What more can you want? And don't forget that Gotham City is NYC too! The black outfit is much sexier than the red and blue one Spiderman (and Superman) wears. He has the great gadgets and finds a way out of every situation. He's pretty much the James Bond of superheros. You can't compare Batman and Spiderman ability-wise because they are both able to face superhuman villains and manage to survive. If Batman and Spiderman fought each other they would both find ways to get out alive.

Spider man is stronger, faster, tougher, has got the danger sense ability plus he got loads of web and no heavy gear to rely on....
Batman is ... just human in a bat costume with lots of gadgets. His main strenght is the fear that he obviously causes, and the element of surprise, plus a great knowledge of the Gotham city... However he loses both of his advantages while confronting Spider man.
His only chance would be to act same way he confronted Superman... that is by telling him that if he gets close to him a remote bomb will detonate, killing innocent people... That ended up to be a bluff, but it worked.

So to recap, Spidey would own Batmans a**

although both characters are amazing in each of their own ways, if it came down to raw strength spider-man would win hands down. he has the comparative strength of a spider which makes him able to lift 10 tons or more. even though batman is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, he is not even in the same strength class as ol' webhead. let's also not forget way back in secret wars, spidey went toe to toe with all of the x-men at the same time and made them all look like fools no less! nuff said...
