Especially for early on checks, im right at my 28th day without a period so i figure i should be safe and see.... So, anyone have a good recommendation for a reliable home pregnancy test?

Please call and get your doctor to order a blood pregnancy instead. It is a far more sensitive test. With an HPT, you may get a false negative...especially being only 28 days. Also some women have a slower rising hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) level...which would not be picked up by the HPT but would be by a blood test. If you choose to do an HPT, testing by Consumer Reports found that First Response is the most sensitive.
