Beauchef syndrome:
It is an alteration in the psychic-visual perception. The symptoms are a gradual reduction of the women beauty standard that men are exposed to.
The syndrome appears when the man is in an all-male atmosphere, or just a few females and the beauty standard is below the average.
These low density of cute females, makes men to adapt to the atmosphere as autodefense and to consider all the females beautiful.

This study was made in the University of Chile, in the engineering school.

that is so true! i didnt know it was a study actually --just thought university of chile girls were so ugly u just got used to it and started liking the less bad looking ones --im chilean. my experience tells me its not auto defence though, but the permanent need to find beauty anywhere, as beauty leads u to such an extraordinary sensation. also, while u may adapt to certain atmospheres lacking beauty u dont lose touch with reality and once ur out of those environments, even on a daily basis, and face a larger universe of, say, girls, u can immediately see there are way more prettier ones in the world --they r just not around u unfortunately. i think beauchef syndrome works just like booze does... the more u have it the more likely u are to shag someone you wouldnt in normal circumstances.

I believe it.
But just who decides what is the "average beauty standard"?
