No. What you're feeling isn't love. What your feeling is infatuation, curiosity, excitement, and intrigue. Love is an 80 year old woman holding the hand of her dying husband of 50 years in the hospital. Love is what you feel when you hold your child for the first time. Love is what you feel on your wedding day when the only person you see or hear in the room is the person you're marrying. Love is when you can have a conversation with your spouse without every saying a word. Love is NOT what you feel after a 5-year online relationship with somebody you've never met or seen. Can't believe I'm actually having to explain this!

Yes and No. Is it possible to begin falling for someone? Yes. But love, true love comes when you look into their eyes. Feel their touch and see them for the first time. Maybe it's a kiss, holding of their hand or just a great time the first time that you meet. Either way, if you begin your journey towards falling for them, you will know if the path you are on is the right path when you meet them.
I agree that in most cases you will not truly know them just from an IM or email but you will at least learn what attracts you about them. Always use a little caution until you know it's real and true.

I guess it is, but beware! A lot of people on instant messenger are not who they say they are. I am not saying he is not, but he might be an old perv, someone that is a lot younger than you, ...you essentially know nothing about this person except what they are telling you online, which could be a lie. This person could very well be married. I say proceed with extreme caution so you will not get hurt. If they are far away, it may be a loss cause anyway. I hope that everything works out for you though. Maybe they are for real. P.S. dont do anything for this person until you know more about them.

Gawd yes. Except I've been wiery in your case-- since you've never talked to that person or seen their pic. In fact, it'd be very suspicious.
My boyfriend and I have a long distance relationship for 3yrs, but we've never met. However, we made the effort in making sure it's a safe relationship but talking to each other when we come home till we go to sleep-- and provide the same support as a normal couple living close to each other would. [This includes talking on the phone and pictures when we can].
As for falling in love with someone you've never dated--- ehh... suspicious again, but unless you believe in love in first sight, I think it's possible. Naive, but yes-- temporarily.

I think it's possible, but you may be in love with a false ideal. If you're picturing this guy as Mr. Perfect, then there's probably stuff you haven't found out yet, since nobody's perfect, and you may be disappointed. Also, especially over AIM, people can self-edit to make themselves look any way they want.
It's not impossible to make this sort of thing work, but if you do decide to meet, just do it safely :-)

Oh I think that it's possible. In this world, I believe that anything is possible.nd if you were meant to be with him, u could be in love with him via instant message.IJust make sure he's not lying to you or nothing. That's the only downside, you can't tell sometimes if they are being truthful

Yes, it is possible. But don't make any commitments until you meet him. Love does what it wants and there are no rules about how it's supposed to happen.
For the first time in my life, I'm really in love. She is MUCH younger than me but she LOVES ME! This is not possible! Yet, it is real.
